About

“Pot’s for stoner losers!” I would proclaim to the sound of the bottle-cap of my 6th beer bottle hissing off.

So that was my judgmental and oh-so-ignorant attitude towards weed for the first half of my life. I admit it. I was blindly drinking the kool-aid that schools and government agencies were dolling out since my childhood. “Marijuana is a gateway drug!” “Pot is addictive!” “D.A.R.E.!”

Eventually, here and there I’d take a hit off of someone else’s soggy joint. I’d either A) feel nothing or B) cough hard. Or both. For non-smokers, smoking a joint can be unpleasant with little benefit.

Finally, my spouse and I tried our first edibles. No coughing, no smoking or breathing technique required. AND IT WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE! We were actually angry at ourselves for most of our lives dismissing this wondrous, if not miraculous plant. We laughed. HARD. We were intellectually stimulated. We morphed into philosophical world problem-solvers. Our five senses were heightened, and it seemed as if we both were catching glimpses of a sixth sense. The sex was a mind, spirit, and body ascension! We couldn’t wait to try it again!

However, we live in a US state where recreational marijuana is not legal (yet). We’d gotten that edible from friends. They were making them from scratch in their kitchen but it was a hardship, as they had to do it discreetly with kids at home.

And so we decided to try to make edibles at home ourselves. “How hard can it be, right?” Off we went to the internet for directions, a recipe, etc. It was hard! We came across so much conflicting information and directions. The only thing we felt sure of was that we didn’t want to waste our weed and time by doing it wrong. We’d bounce from site to site, getting more confused on how to best maximize our bake.

Through trial and error, we’ve finally learned a few things. So we wanted to create a holistic and comprehensive place to capture the on-going lore as we grow!
